Cisco Catalyst 2960 firmware update - aggiorniamo il file .tar con il nuovo metodo

Vuoi conoscere quale è la migliore delle maniere per aggiornare lo Switch Cisco Catalyst della serie 2960? Sai perchè è preferibile usare il comando archive download-sw invece di archive tar?

Trasferimento del nuovo IOS (file .tar) usando il comando archive download

I nuovi Cisco Switch Catalyst della serie 2960 supportano un nuovo comando per l'aggiornamento del sistema operativo (IOS). Il comando archive download-sw, a differenza del precedente archive tar, rileva confronta la versione che si sta per instalare con quella attualmente in uso (boot system), la cancella, e aggiorna il boot system in maniera tale che lo switch possa ripartire con il nuovo sistema, senza dover intervenire manualmente.
