Cisco Show Version - come interpretare l'output del comando

Vuoi determinare la versione del sistema operativo Cisco IOS? Vuoi scoprire il valore del configuration register? Ti sei mai chiesto come interpretare l'output dello show version command e che informazioni utili puoi ricavare da esso?
Il comando show version ti fornisce molteplici informazioni sia software che hardware visualizzando lo stesso output del comando show hardware (show hardware command è un alias di show version command). Tra queste puoi trovare:

• il nome della piattaforma hardware (ad es. 1841)
• le caratteristiche delsoftware tra cui l'image-id (ad es. C1841-IPBASEK9-M) nel formato platform-features-format e la versione del Cisco IOS operating system (ad es. 15.1(3)T) nel formato x.y(z)A, dove x.y è il main release identifier, z è il maintenance release number, e A è lo special release train identifier
• la versione del ROM bootstrap
• la versione del boot loader ***
• il nome (hostname) dell'apparato e il tempo da quando il sistema è acceso (uptime)
• la modalità dell'ultimo avvio del sistema (power-on, reload, reset (i.e., warm reboot), system panic)
• orario e data dell'ultimo avvio del sistema
• la locazione e il nome del file del Cisco IOS operating system
• Last Reload Type ***
• la piattaforma hardware, il revision number e la quantità di DRAM (Main Processor memory/Packet Memory)
  
• il processor board ID (serial number)
• il numero e la tipologia di interfacce
• il numero di linee terminale
• la quantità di RAM non volatile (NVRAM), usata per salvare il file di configurazione (startup-configuration)
• la quantità e il tipo di Flash usata per registrarvi il sistema operativo Cisco IOS e/o altri file
• il valore del configuration register
